Downtime

There is no downtime with the biorepeelcl3 which means that immediately after undergoing treatment, you can go about your daily routine. This is why it is known as the “lunch time treatment”. You may get a slight bit of redness but this normally subsides withing a few hours. Adding the Dermalux LED at the end helps with taking the redness down straight away, whilst also providing so many benefits (on a separate page)

How to get the ultimate results

Hydration is key with the BioRePeelcI3 – internally and externally for best results. Drinking plenty of water the week prior and on the day 3 litres, avoiding food/drinks that will dehydrate your skin.

I will see the hydration of the skin at the appointment – chemical peels need water to penetrate to move through freely and be effective, can cause a burning if dry.

4-5 days before treatment – hydrating products, no exfoliation or retinol please

When will I see results?

You can see some immediate effects after the peel, such as brighter and smoother skin. However, for optimal results, especially for concerns like acne or signs of ageing, multiple treatments are recommended normally between 3-6 sessions. Everybody’s skin is different and skin concerns may be more severe in others, meaning more treatments will be needed. I will also depend on what skincare you are using at home to.

Can I use my normal day to day products after treatment and just before?

After a BioRePeel treatment, your skin may be more sensitive than usual. Avoid using skincare products with retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid, for a few days. Also avoid these 4-5 days beforehand to.

How long will results last?

This is all based on how you look after your skin at home, medical grade skincare is a must!

How many treatments do I need?

Recommended with the peel alone 6 sessions 7-12 days apart then a break for 3 months. If combining with other treatments 4 weeks a part, still 6 sessions.

We recommend one treatment once a month so when having a break if having the peels closer together, you can then opt for microneedling or other treatments that will target your skin concerns.

Common side effects

Dryness and Peeling/Flaking -BioRePeel promotes exfoliation, which can lead to dryness or peeling/flaking a few days after the treatment. This is a normal part of the skin rejuvenation process and should resolve within a week.

Redness - After the treatment, you may notice some redness on your skin. This is a common reaction and normally subsides within a few hours.

Slight Swelling - Some individuals might experience slight swelling, especially in areas with sensitive skin. This should subside within a day or two.

Tingling or Mild Discomfort - During or immediately after the procedure, you may feel a tingling sensation or mild discomfort. This usually fades quickly as the skin begins to recover

Skin Sensitivity -Your skin may be more sensitive following the treatment, particularly to sunlight. It’s crucial to avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for a few days post-treatment.

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL AFTERCARE

No makeup for 24hrs

No sunbeds EVER! but avoid for at least 2 weeks / sunbathing / saunas / exercise / Swimming etc for24hrs

Avoid rubbing or harsh exfoliants during course of treatments Avoid sun exposure & always use recommended SPF 50 minimum

Do not use skincare with AHA / BHA for 7 days after

Do not use Retinol products for 7 days

Avoid electrolysis, waxing, bleaching for 36 hours

Avoid any other invasive treatments for up to 2 weeks post treatment

For specific targeted problems: 4-6 treatments, every 7-12 days.

Skin maintenance: After a course of 6 - wait 3 months.

During the treatment, as a result of the application of the product, you may experience a warm, tingling sensation on the skin. At all times, your therapist will be monitoring your treatment.

Over the following days after treatment, the area will feel tight and dry and a light shedding of the skin in particular areas can occur. It is important the aftercare is adhered to.
